We are currently recruiting to the position of Children & Young People’s Provisions Manager (maternity cover).  This is an exciting and varied position covering for maternity which involves overseeing all the children and young people’s work that we deliver in the centre.

Young People’s Provisions Manager – Maternity cover

Salary – £24K FTE (£22400 Pro-rata)
Location – Swinton Lock Activity Centre, Dun Street, Swinton, S64 8AN
Hours and Work Pattern – 35 hours Monday – Friday (may include evenings and weekends).
Terms of Employment – Temporary Post with 1 October 2019 start to 30 June 2020 (potential for extension depending on suitable role and funding).
Job Description
To act as manager of young people’s provisions on behalf of the provision manager whilst on maternity leave for Swinton Lock Activity Centre. This will include managing and co-ordinating all provisions for children and young people delivered by the organisation. The main focus of this will be the management and successful delivery of 3 strands of work for children and young people which can be identified as follows :
1: The organisations re-engagement programme operating Mondays- Thursdays throughout the academic term. Delivering a programme of creative opportunities for young people who have been referred to us through secondary education and who are at risk of exclusion from school, struggling to engage in mainstream education or on a part time learning plan.
2: Oversee the Management and delivery of our children`s teatime and holiday activity club. This service is funded by BBC Children in Need and runs as a weekly activity club for children and young people many of which have additional learning needs and or low self-esteem.
3: Ignite Yorkshire partnership project to engage young people with heritage based learning activities. This project is delivered in partnership with other creative and or heritage based organisations and is funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.
