Please ensure you have read and understood our terms and conditions when making a boat booking.

By ticking the box you agree to the following terms and conditions of a boat booking with Swinton Lock Activity Centre.

  1. Swinton lock is the owner and will be referred to as such
  2. You will be known as the customer and will be referred to as such
  3. The customer agrees to pay the fee in full at the time of booking
  4. Payment can only be made via our online booking system which is operated through Square.
  5. The owner agrees to reserve the date(s) when the customer has paid in FULL at the time of booking if these dates remain available.
  6. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been made in full and the booking has been accepted by the owner.
  7. As the booking of our boat trip is considered a leisure activity booked for a specific date and time there is no legal requirement to provide a cooling off period and therefore you will not have the automatic right to cancellation and refund within 14 days of your booking.
  8. The customer (or their designate) is liable for ALL their invited passengers and guests and should ensure that they act appropriately and do not breach any health and safety regulations set out by the Maritime and Coastguards Agency (MCA) or Swinton Lock.
  9. The owner will ensure that a health and safety talk is given prior to the trip departing from the mooring and all rules and regulations which are governed by the MCA are adhered to.

Cancellations
Once your booking has been confirmed there is no right to cancellation, however if the owner cancels the event the customer will receive a FULL refund and as compensation will receive a FREE 1 hour trip for up to 12 people.
